Drums of the world beat as one.

Although he’s the world-renowned Dean of Music at VCC, to us, Sal Ferreras is the epitome of super cool percussionist.  Over the last few years he has been collaborating with the VIBC Society, and this year Sal Ferreras has Salsa-infused Bhangra madness in store for the 2010 City of Bhangra Festival.

For the first time, VIBC Society is pairing up with explorASIAN to celebrate Asian Heritage Month in Canada.  RePercussion will be the official launch of Vancouver Asian Heritage Month with the ode to the drum and dance from a variety of cultures that represent Vancouver’s rich multicultural landscape.  Feel the beat of the drum from Asia, Africa, and South America as they blend with the dhol and fuse with Punjabi folk dancers.
