An intimate evening turned mini-festival, the Opening Reception is one our most anticipated events!
The Opening Reception officially launches the City of Bhangra Festival with dance and music performances. This invitation-only event welcomes our sponsors, as well as our supporters in government, arts and the business community. In previous years, the Opening Night has included Attorney General Wally Oppal, Senator Yonah Martin, as well as a presentation on behalf of the Honourable Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The Opening Reception is an opportunity for the VIBC Society to thank all those who make our annual events possible, and also to present a taste of what is to come over the course of the 9-day City of Bhangra Festival.
