the NEXT Bhangra Competition

The Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society is proud to present the 2008 NEXT Bhangra Competition, bringing the universal rhythm of Bhangra to the mainstream, and showcasing the stars of tomorrow, today.
"The talent from the 2007 NEXT competition gave the Society the opportunity to showcase, recognize and display the potential of tomorrow’s Bhangra stars. NEXT is a medium for high school and junior teams to perform and compete, while focusing on creativity and team spirit," Mo Dhaliwal, Board Member of the VIBC Society said. "NEXT provides tomorrow’s stars with the building blocks to grow in the art-form of Bhangra, with the same level of professionalism, high-quality presentation and promotion experienced at City of Bhangra. It’s important to foster tomorrow's leaders of our culture; the stars of tomorrow, today."
