Experience the art of Bhangra on canvas at the Art + Soul Gallery. This exhibit will feature the work of local artists and commission new pieces created specifically for the exhibit. The spirit of Bhangra is interpreted and evoked in vibrant displays using acrylic and oil paint, pencil drawings and graphic design. The exhibit curator is Ravi Gill, an Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design graduate. Art + Soul Gallery is located at 1277 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1C4. Start: 2:00 pm

This original presentation brings together performers and teachers of folk music and dance in an informative and interactive stage production. Watch as Punjabi folk music and dance is born, from couplets sung by a humble farmer through to the development of a whole ensemble of folk instruments.This production was most recently staged at the 2007 Vancouver Folk Music Festival.
