Q. What is VIBC?

A. VIBC stands for the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society. The VIBC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art form of Bhangra. The Society organizes an annual arts festival, City of Bhangra, as well as a youth Bhangra competition called NEXT, in addition to participating in numerous community outreach events.

Q. Where can I buy tickets to City of Bhangra events like the competition?

A. From the Ticketmaster website, or call 604.280.4444. Tickets may also be purchased at Kamal's Video Palace and Ravi Video in Surrey, Anmol Video in Abbotsford, and Tasleem's Video in Vancouver.

Q. What if I want to perform at VIBC events?

A. To compete at the City of Bhangra Competition or the NEXT Competition, please contact register@vibc.org.

If you would like to perform at any other City of Bhangra events, please contact Performer Services at artists@vibc.org.

Q. How do I become a volunteer with the VIBC Society?

A. VIBC is a growing Society and with new events, we are looking for more volunteers. Contact Volunteer Services at volunteer@vibc.org to join our team. 


Q: May I record video/audio or take pictures at the City of Bhangra?

A: You may do so at public events for private, non-commercial use only. Videos/pictures/audio from any private or ticketed event is strictly forbidden with the sole exception of those explicitly authorized by the VIBC Society. If you have any questions about the usage of such material, please contact tech@vibc.org.
